A Day in the Life of ChicagoFoodGirl – McDonald’s Style
Disclosure: I received a complimentary trip to McDonald’s to facilitate this post. Review and opinions are my own.
My very first meal in America was a Happy Meal. I can still picture the toys that accompanied our dinners so many years ago. From that first day in America, to summer family road trips and late night college cram sessions, McDonald’s has been a focal point to many fond memories. 25 years later, I remain a fan of the food, and today a proud partner of the world’s foremost fast food chain. As a satisfied customer (more times than I can count), I’m excited to share a sneak peak of their recent food changes.
Day started with opening remarks from Mike Andres (USA President) announcing that Chicken McNuggets now have no artificial preservatives and still do not have artificial colors or flavors, and the removal of artificial preservatives from the breakfast pork sausage patty, omelet-style eggs and the scrambled eggs served on breakfast platters.
Their buns across the menu will no longer contain high fructose corn syrup.
Took a tour of their Culinary Test Kitchen where they develop their recipes.
Got a sneak peek to taste their new Gilroy Garlic Fries.
Spent the rest of the day at their Instagram Studio where influencers got to style and capture our own content.
