Chi-Town Rising – Chicago’s New Years Eve Celebration
Move over NYC, Chicago will ring in 2016 with its inaugural New Year’s Eve bash—Chi-Town Rising. This epic celebration will include fireworks, musical entertainment and Chicago’s own version of the ball-drop; a giant star rising into the night sky, symbolizing the City’s reemergence following the Great Fire of 1871
This event will take place in the heart of Michigan Ave., with additional celebrations along the Magnificent Mile catering to a wide variety of party-goers and age groups.
If you love music and want to be part of the show, Broadcast Boulevard is where you need to be. This will give you direct access to the Countdown Stage, Musical Acts, and the most iconic sight of the evening—Chicago’s Rising Star and fireworks display.
For everyone 21 and older, party with me at Corona Beach House. The Beach House offers similar views from your own private oasis, plus music from DJ Brendan Fallis and DJ Mano.
Highlighting the event will be dance performances, outdoor lawn games, and multiple bars serving your favorite beverages and beach-inspired food.
Tickets for each event are sold separately and can be found here.
If you want to be part of all the NYE fun, but prefer more laid-back festivities, check-out some Chicago Food Girl approved eateries near the excitement: Texas de Brazil, Howells & Hood, and The Signature Room.

And if you can’t make it downtown, be sure to follow the evening’s events on NBC starting at 11PM.
