Crockpot Turkey Chili
Who else is happy for layers and boots season? In honor of fall finally arriving to Chicago, Red Gold Tomatoes, is giving away a variety-pack of tomatoes (2 cans crushed tomatoes, 1 can diced tomatoes, 1 can diced w/ green chilies, 1 diced with lime juice and cilantro and 1 diced with garlic and olive oil), an apron, wooden spoon and recipes to jump start your fall cooking to 1 of my lucky readers!
As soon as I got my kit, I decided to make a hearty chili stew. My favorite meals to create as soon as the temperature starts dropping is with my slow cooker. Adding and using tomatoes in soups, stews and casseroles may also offer more nutrition than fresh due to the fact that when tomatoes are heated, the antioxidant lycopene is released.
I made my spicy and hearty, Crockpot Turkey Chili over the weekend using the Red Gold® Petite Diced Tomatoes With Green Chilies. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts!

Turkey Chili Ingredients
2 pounds ground turkey
1 onion, finely diced
1 (14.5 ounce) can Red Gold® Petite Diced Tomatoes With Green Chilies, drained or 2 (10 ounce) cans Red Gold® Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, drained
Directions
1. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place turkey in the skillet, and cook until evenly brown; drain.
2. Coat the inside of a slow cooker with any cooking spray, and mix in cooked turkey and add the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker and stir until well combined.
3. Cover, and cook 8 hours on Low or 4 hours on High.
