#NationalFriedRiceDay
To all my fellow fried rice fiends—oops, I mean friends—Benihana has declared September 20th National Fried Rice Day!
To commemorate the new holiday, Benihana’s own, Chef Raymundo Mendez, will cook the signature dish for 42 consecutive hours in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record.
The celebration kicks off today at Benihana’s flagship location in the John Hancock Center and culminates on Thursday, National Fried Rice Day, with diners receiving a complimentary serving of fried rice with the purchase of any entrée.
The inaugural event will also raise awareness for the city’s less fortunate. All prepared food during the 42-hour marathon will be donated to Cornerstone Community Outreach, a nonprofit responsible for feeding the homeless.
Stop by September 18th through the 20th to support a good cause and cheer Chef Mendez to victory. At Benihana, fried rice isn’t just another side dish; it’s a foundational element of every meal!
