Top 3 Tips to Become a Better Blogger
“I believed I could, so I did”
– Kate Spade
A little over a year ago, I decided to lock myself in my bedroom to launch my blog. 3 hours later, a domain and a hosting site was purchased and the rest is history, as they say. The truth is, blogging is more than just sitting down in front of your computer every week about your niche and topics. I don’t consider myself a blogging expert, but in the past year I’ve definitely learned quite a bit about it – enough to share with you today.
Here are my top 3 tips I’ve learned to become a better blogger:
1. Be true to yourself
When you show your personality & be true to yourself, you start to connect with your readers. It’s often refreshing to show your insecurities or your vulnerable side. We are human after all — show them who you are.
2. Post frequently and consistently
Figure out what you are passionate about as well as what stops you from writing. Is it a fear of writing? anxiety? schedule? Remember, you can never post too much!
3. Stay Humble
The more traffic your blog has, the more you’ll become more influential in the blogging community and on social media. Don’t forget to remain humble, treat everyone with kindness and check your ego at the door.

Thank you for your tips 🙂 I’m going to start my blog site in a few weeks, God willing. Im just an IG food reviewer for now(#FoodCriticGuy). But I still have alot to learn, both photo-wise & fine dining knowledge. You inspire me to do more & am very appreciative of your tips, always. I live in NE Florida but travel to the River North area every winter…yes winter 🙂 I’ve been doing so since ’94 & never missed a yr! I love that particular area & also venture up to Lincoln Park & Wrigley too. SO many great restaurants & still so many to try. Love your work! Your smile is contagious & your pics & reviews are TOP!

I literally just spent a prep at school after grading quizzes and homework and submitting them, and I have not stopped thinking about creating a blog. I sat down, and thought of names and finally bought a domain. I recently just got a whole layout and have no idea what I’m doing, but I am willing to put some effort in and learn as I go. It’s so exciting to plan for it, and I can’t wait until I have a blog that’s hefty and reflective of me and my interests. But for now, I’m at a HAPPY “work in progress” with my page.
I love your three tips.
