“I believed I could, so I did.”
– Kate Spade
A little over three years ago, I decided to lock myself in my bedroom to launch my blog. A few hours later, a domain and a hosting site was purchased and the rest is history, as they say. The truth is, blogging is more than just sitting down in front of your computer every week about your niche and topics. I don’t consider myself a blogging expert, but in the past few years I’ve definitely learned quite a bit about it – enough to share with you today.
Here are my top 3 tips I’ve learned to become a better blogger:
1. Be true to yourself
When you show your personality & be true to yourself, you start to connect with your readers. It’s often refreshing to show your insecurities or your vulnerable side. We are human after all — show them who you are.
2. Post frequently and consistently
Figure out what you are passionate about as well as what stops you from writing. Is it a fear of writing? anxiety? schedule? Remember, you can never post too much!
3. Stay Humble
The more traffic your blog has, the more you’ll become more influential in the blogging community and on social media. Don’t forget to remain humble, treat everyone with kindness and check your ego at the door.
